Timeless elegance Labradorite and Sterling Silver Necklace
Classic, timeless elegance – Labradorite jewellery, a necklace I have made using natural Labradorite 6mm round beads and .925 Sterling Silver.
Labradorite was said to have been the Aurora Borealis trapped in rocks until an Inuit warrior freed them with a blow from his spear. Some of the colours from the Aurora Borealis remained in the rocks giving us the wonderful play of colour that can be seen in this gemstone. Labradorite is said to be a stone of transformation and change, to stimulate the imagination and calm an overactive mind.
The Labradorite stones I have chosen for this necklace have a mainly grey body colour and shows moments of blue and green with flashes of purple, orange and yellow as the light moves across the stones. The markings in the stones are natural and show the typical Labradorescence of this feldspar mineral.
I have used .925 Sterling Silver curved square tube – approx. 40mm x 3mm and 2 sterling silver beads, to give the necklace a focal point, making it a piece you can wear as a casual necklace or when you want that added interest for an occasion.
The necklace is approx. 42 cm long with approx. 4 cm extender chain, finished with a labradorite bead drop.
Handmade using ethically sourced/mined gemstones and sterling silver.
Handmade in Co Roscommon, Ireland.
Nickel and lead free, all metal is .925 Sterling Silver.
Comes in a gift/presentation box which also makes it an ideal gift.
